The accommodation

This is what it's like here.

No. 7 is deliberately spartan. The light comes from a small photovoltaic system, the water runs cold and is pumped by a car battery with a regulator, cooking is on two gas burners. You sleep on a pull-out sofa of one hundred and twenty by two hundred and ten centimetres, on which, according to Michael, people of 2.01 metres also lie comfortably - he checked himself - or up in the small sleeping loft with a hinged window, mattress eighty by two hundred, for those with a head for heights and as a third place to sleep. By the window there is a table with two chairs for breakfast.

The composting toilet is a few metres away, the outdoor shower right next to it: hot and cold, built entirely from old pallet wood. Beside the hut a hammock hangs above a pallet deck, and there is a seating area with a fire bowl, for which a basic bundle of firelighters, kindling and firewood is provided. On cold days in spring and autumn a small gas stove can be switched on.

And then there is the field all around, from which you may take what you need for your own use during the growing season.

The little brother of Ruhe Pur im Horst; the two huts stand about twenty metres apart and are let independently of each other. If you want it radical, book this one. If you want a secluded setting without cold showers, book next door.

Good to know

No. 7 is let from two nights upwards. A single night is not possible here.

No Wi-Fi, only mobile data. The toilet is a composting toilet, the shower is outdoors.

The season runs from March to November. In winter the hut is not let.

The fire bowl stays where it is; burnt wood remains go into the container provided when you leave.

Three guests at most. If you expect a hot tub, air conditioning or room service, you're better off booking elsewhere - that is Michael's own sentence, and it stands.

Pets are welcome. There is an extra 9,00 € per animal per night, which covers the additional cleaning. Please say in your enquiry which animal is coming.

If your dog is allowed on the bed: please bring your own blanket or throw. It costs you nothing and us no bed linen.

During the harvest the offer applies here as everywhere: help out for three to four hours picking and sorting, and get one night free. Just mention it in your enquiry.
